As one of the longest continually-chartered Boy Scout Troops in the area, Troop 12 is proud to bring the best of Scouting's traditions and the newest of Scouting's adventures to New Lenox, IL

Troop 12 is Scout-led, meaning that our Scouts plan meetings and outings, run events, organize activities and deliver service projects with a minimum of Adult assistance. Scouts learn to communicate, lead, and model exemplary behaviors thanks to the aims and methods of Scouting.

With multiple outings each month, a week-long summer camp experience each year and regular extended High Adventure trips around the country, we take pride in keeping the OUTING in SCOUTING!

United Methodist Church of New Lenox, where we hold our meetings, also has a rich tradition of Scouting history. The Church grounds are home to the Scout Cabin, built in the 1920s by Scouts and still used by Troop 12 Scouts today! We meet at the Church on Tuesday evenings throughout the entire year.

Our chartering organization, Francis Field Youth Foundation, has been serving the youth of New Lenox and Will County since the 1950s.
