2023 MINIVENTURE!

Our first MINIVENTUIRE! We'll be Ziplining at eXplore Brown County and kayaking underground The Gorge in Red River Gorge, KY. The current cost estimate is $225 per participant.

Tentative Itinerary:

• THU:  @ 2:00P - Drive 3.75 hrs (sleep in cabins)
• FRI: 2 hours ziplining - Drive 3.25 hrs (sleep in tents)
• SAT: 1.5 hours underground kayaking (sleep in tents)
• SUN: Drive 6.5 hrs home

Some important notes:

• Scouts must pass the BSA Swim Test as a Swimmer in order to be a paddler.
• Scouts must pass the BSA Swim Test as a Beginner in order to ride in a kayak with an Adult Swimmer.
• A deposit will be due 6/1 (amount TBD)
• A minimum of 8 Scouts is necessary in order to keep costs reasonable
• All attending adults will need current BSA YPT certifcation
• At least 2 attending adults will need current BSA Safety Afloat certification
• At least 1 attending adult will need BSA Hazardous Weather training
• All kayaking adults will need to pass the BSA Swim Test
• In addition to the Troop 12 online permission slip, signed wiavers from both venues will be needed from all participants.
