About the event
It's been a long standing for communities to ask Scouts to run Flag Retirement Ceremonies. Once an American Flag has served it's duty and has become tattered, dirty and torn, we pay respects with a formal ceremony in which it is burned. A drop-off location in for the village of Oak Forest has been collecting retired flags and we've been askeed to conduct the ceremony.
NOTES:
- Burgers and Hot Dogs will be served to all participants.
- This is a solemn ceremony - CLASS A uniform is required.
- Qualifies as service hours for school and/or rank.
